On top of the job portal being outdated, this has to be the DUMBEST recommendation system I’ve ever seen. Who in their right mind thinks it is appropriate to require applicants to submit references, and then JCPS contacts those references after you submit the application. They reach out to them to fill out a recommendation before you even interview, if you even get one. God forbid you apply to more positions, just for them to keep spamming your recommenders.

They should be ashamed for having 4-5 essay responses 750 words max, as a part of a job application. Especially for a senior leadership role with that low of pay. Those kind of essay responses should be asked in an interview. If you are asking candidates to take the time to submit those kinds of responses, you could at least have the courtesy to give more feedback outside of a generic rejection over a month later. Also the job application portal was trash.
