Community Guidelines

CandidateVoice.org works because people tell the truth. These guidelines exist to keep this a space worth trusting.

🎯

The Purpose of This Platform

CandidateVoice.org exists to give job seekers honest, firsthand information about what it is actually like to apply to an organization. Every review here represents a real person's time, energy, and experience. We take that seriously.

This is not a place to settle scores or burn bridges. It is a place to share what happened so the next candidate can walk in prepared — or choose to walk away.

The standard for a good review is not whether the outcome was positive. It is whether the information is accurate, specific, and useful to someone who has not applied yet.
WHAT WE ENCOURAGE

What Makes a Great Review

WHAT WE DON'T ALLOW

What Will Get a Review Removed

🔒

Anonymity and Privacy

All reviews are anonymous. We do not display your name, email, or any identifying information publicly. If you provide an email address, it is used only to allow you to update your own review — it is never shared, sold, or displayed.

We ask that you extend the same courtesy to others. Do not include names of specific people you interacted with during the hiring process. Focus on the organization's systems and behavior, not the individuals carrying them out.

⚖️

Moderation

Every review is moderated before it goes live. We review submissions for accuracy of format, completeness, and compliance with these guidelines. We do not edit the substance of your review — if it meets the guidelines, it publishes as written.

We reserve the right to remove any review that violates these guidelines, is reported as inaccurate by multiple parties, or appears to be part of a coordinated campaign to manipulate ratings in either direction.

If you believe a review about your organization is inaccurate or violates these guidelines, contact us at [email protected]. We will investigate and respond.

A Note on Tone

You are allowed to be frustrated. Ghosting after three rounds of interviews is frustrating. Being rejected for living three miles outside an arbitrary radius is frustrating. A 45-minute application with eight essay questions for a mid-level role is frustrating.

Say that. But say it in a way that a stranger reading your review six months from now will find useful — not just cathartic. The most powerful reviews are the ones that are specific, calm, and undeniably true.
