I applied for a role at Youth on Course and was contacted just a few days later to schedule an interview with the hiring manager, which ended up happening just 3 days later. Then I was scheduled for a second round interview a week later and did do that interview. All seemed to be headed in a good direction, but then I did not hear anything for 2.5 weeks despite no indications that there would be a lag in communication due to org work load, vacations, etc. When I finally reached out, I was told by the hiring manager that new movement had happened in the last few days and I was not selected as a final candidate. The wording was apologetic and made it seem like they had selected a final candidate a while ago and forgot to let me know. This was confirmed when shortly after I got a form "you did not get this job" email from the HR staff member. Very disappointing communication.

Best part: Fast interview process

Worst part: Ghosting for weeks, after two interviews, until I reached out
