Apr 2026The hiring process was described as a quick turnaround. 1st round of interviews on 5/22. Second round were to be 5/28-29 with a recommendation to the Board of Education for their June 9, 2026 meeting. I was invited in for the first round - having to drive 2 hours for the interview. Didn’t hear back from the district regarding not being selected for 2nd round or of the final selection.
Worst part: The position was an internal promotion from a hs assistant principal. If this was the overall intention, it would have been so easy to send out the most generic, impersonal email rejection letter. The supervisor of this position, as well as an HR supervisor, were involved in the 2 group rotation of the round 1 rotation. When I was a principal, I always sent a formal rejection letter to thank the candidate for their time (application, preparation, travel, etc) even though HR was supposed to send one out as well.
